Two prospective buyers placed non-binding offers for Bulgaria's flag carrier before the deadline expired on August 24.

Balkan Hemus Group, owner of Bulgarian private airline Hemus Air, and Italy's Air One, bidding through its Bulgaria-registered company - Air One, will vie for a 99.99% in the carrier.

Three companies, including Airlines Bulgaria, owned by Greek Aegean Airlines, were declared eligible by the sale body last week.
